Wenonah
Carter Schedule
Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Accupressure, Reflexology, Thai
Massage techniques, Swedish, Polarity Therapy, Core-Syncronism,
Marma Therapy, Aromatherapy, and Stretching, Prenatal
Wenonah was fortunate to grow-up as an athlete in a
holistic, body-mind centered community that emphasized
balance and natural living. Her roots lead her to the
New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics where she
completed an 850-hour massage training program. She
went on to explore and study Yoga and Ayurveda for a
year at the Ayurvedic Institute, as well as completing
a 5-week Thai massage training in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
She is a lifelong student and teacher of body-mind healing
and integrative health practices.
While her wide array of studies and experience have
enriched her practice, Wenonah says her truest teacher
is each person's body, and the art of her practice is
in deep listening. She is often told that her warm and
intuitive hands go right to client's problem areas,
releasing deep-rooted tension. She takes great pleasure
in providing a healing space for rest and rejuvenation.
Wenonah enjoys giving both subtle and deep work, combining
Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Accupressure, Reflexology, and
Thai Massage techniques, as well as Swedish strokes,
Polarity Therapy, Core-Syncronism, Marma Therapy, Aromatherapy,
and Stretching.
One of her favorites is working on not just one but
two, that being Pre-natal massage.

sustained contacts that release tension, ease pain,
and allow the body to get in tune with itself.
In his advanced work, Bill uses Trigger Point Therapy,
Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
(PNF) stretching, and other deep tissue approaches to

Massage, Thai Massage, Hot Stone, Lymphatic, Sports

she taught ballet for beginning teenagers and adults.

her on her intuitive touch and encouraged her to expand
her skills. In November of 2000, she emerged from Twin
Lakes College of the Healing Arts in Santa Cruz as a
Massage Practitioner. After moving to the Bay Area in
2003 and working for several years, she decided to go
back to school to re-hone her established skills and
expand her repertoire. In November 2006, she graduated
from the National Holistic Institute as a Massage Therapist
and Health Educator. She greatly enjoys helping people
live and move comfortably in their bodies.

Atibala
Sarasvati Schedule
Atibala Sarasvati started his studies of health cultivation
with Western herbalism, and grassroots American nutrition.
This inevitably led to a deep interest in Ayurveda,
and its incorporated philosophy. He apprenticed with
his Sat Guru, Dharmanidhi Sarasvati, in Berkeley for
two years. Last winter he traveled to India to train
intensively with a Doctor of Ayurveda, with whom he
studied classical texts in the traditional fashion.
With over a decade of experience in jewelry making and
metallurgy, he now incorporates his understanding of
alchemical changes into his treatments of health and
illness.
Durgasakti
Sarasvati Schedule
Modalities: Swedish, Practical Intent
Durgasakti is certified by the Santa Barbara Body Therapy
Institute. She is trained in Swedish, Thai, and Barefoot
Deep Tissue Massage. She offers a fantastic traditional
Swedish massage, which she accents with Thai massage
techniques. Her swedish massage is very effective for
releasing tensions and< aches within the body.
In addition, Durgasakti now offers "Practical
Intent" healing sessions. A brief description follows:
Awareness is established around the area in need
of healing, an intent is stated, and the client is
then allowed to consciously move through their experience
of the issue while receiving therapeutic massage,
in a safe, contained, and confidential environment.
For more information on this modality, and to read
testimonials, please contact Durgasakti.
Durgasakti has her BA in Religious Studies from the
University of California at Santa Barbara. Her passion
for religious studies, spirituality, and Indian culture
lead her to Delhi University in India where she lived
for six months, completing her degree in her field.
In addition to her Religious Studies background and
her certification in massage therapy, Durgasakti possesses
a genuine gift of intuition, which has provided her
clients with the opportunity to connect with their own
healing process in a powerful way. She brings a focused
and compassionate approach to her healing sessions.
She is also a student of Dharmanidhi Sarasvati.
Hrimati Sarasvati
Schedule
Hrimati Sarasvati began practicing yoga 12 years ago
and began teaching 5 years ago after returning from
1 1/2 years living in India where she studied hatha
yoga, massage therapy and Ayurveda. Upon returning from
that first trip to India she dove into a deeper study
of Ayurveda with her teacher Dharmanidhi Sarasvati (with
whom she has been studying since 2001). In 2005, issues
with her own health led her back to India for treatment
in Kerala, where she met and began studying with three
of the few remaining practitioners of classical Ayurveda,
learning to read and write Sanskrit and memorizing slokas
from one of the main classical texts of Ayurvedic medicine,
Ashtanga Hridayam. Last winter she returned to India
and spent 5 months apprenticing in an in-patient Ayurvedic
clinic.
Hrimati’s emphasis when working with her clients
is upon helping each person to experience their life
through the lens of the 5 elements so that they are
better able to make decisions that stimulate and support
the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Her focus
is upon diet and lifestyle, however, she often uses
western, Chinese and Indian herbs to support the process
of bringing the body towards balance. She brings her
experience as a body-worker, her knowledge of yogic
anatomy and her own experiences with illness and healing
into her practice. She views herself as an educator,
partner and cheerleader in the healing process. She
is available for Ayurvedic consultations, private yoga
sessions and massage.
Sumanasa Sarasvati
Schedule
Ayurvedic Mind Counseling, Private Yoga Therapy
Sumanasa Sarasvati completed her B.Sc. Honors in Psychology
and Religion at the University of Toronto in 1999. At
that time she began apprenticing with a psychiatrist,
counseling clients under his supervision. Disenchanted
by traditional models of psychotherapy she began expanding
her search for effective modes of transformation and
healing. In 2001, after six years of yoga practice,
Sumanasa completed an intensive yoga teacher training
and began teaching Hatha yoga. Shortly thereafter she
met her Guru, Dharmanidhi Sarasvati with whom she continues
to study yoga, ayurveda and Tantrik approaches to mind/body
therapies. In addition to her studies with Dharmanidhi,
Sumanasa is currently earning her Masters in Transpersonal
Psychology at JFK University.
