1. Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal Yoga is one of the most famous classes that we hold in Milwaukee. It is geared for expectant mothers and is well-known for making birthing easier. It teaches soon-to-be-moms flexibility as well as conditions and strengthens their body to cope with the needs of birthing. It is also great for mothers who want to get back in shape post-birth.
2. Restorative Yoga
Another very famous class that we hold is Restorative Yoga. This is geared for those who want to relieve stress and restore their balance and energy. This kind of class concentrates on teaching only a maximum of five poses and enhances the restoration of the mind as well.
3. Yin Yoga
We teach Yin or what is also referred to as Taoist Yoga. It is also another form of Restorative Yoga wherein the goal is the relaxation of the mind and muscles. It also focuses on the use of gravity to achieve its aim of relaxation.
4. Bikram Yoga
Famous among the younger set of Milwaukee is Bikram Yoga which is also referred to as Hot Yoga. This particular kind of yoga is done in 105-degree temperature. It is usually composed of 26 postures.
5. Ashtanga Yoga
What we consider as one of our important classes is the Ashtanga Yoga. It is composed of six standard poses and breathing is a very important component of this type of yoga. In fact, the poses linked by breathing in this type of yoga is called vinyasa.
6. Iyangar Yoga
We also teach the purist type of yoga called Iyangar Yoga. This type of yoga makes use of props such as harnesses, straps and blocks in order to perfectly position the yogi in his or her poses.
7. Vinyasa Yoga
This type of yoga is actually very much Westernized. This has been developed precisely with the aim of appealing to the Western crowd. It is quite active and uses a lot of movements similar to aerobics.
8. Jivamukti Yoga
This type of yoga is all about pushing oneself. It is still very much rooted in the traditional practice of yoga in the sense that it integrates chanting, and even goes back to ancient texts and scriptures.
